Mame San by shizuku
Tasty, sweet, earthy and fresh: Mame San is a sake-flavoured vodka handcrafted in Switzerland, combining three beans from the prefecture of Tottori, Japan’s national liquor and Lake Zurich water.
Each individual bean (sword bean, azuki bean and soy bean) delivers an unmistakable aroma for perfect harmony. The addition of a tasty and rather dry junmai sake gives Mame San a warm umami note.
In collaboration with Turicum Distillery, shizuku created a completely new drink which tastes as new as it tastes familiar. «Mame» is, by the way, the Japanese word for «bean».
Reform had the pleasure to design the brand identity of this new kind of spirit which not only reflects Shizuku’s slogan «A drop of Japan», but also stands for culture, appreciation, quality, nature and craftsmanship.
The attention to detail and the delicate selection of materials, combined with the simplicity and purity of the typography, created a perfect balance between traditional Japanese aesthetics and modern sensibility. Our ambition was to design an experience in which the taste of Mame San rhymed with the visual and tactile perception.
